Bedside Guide · Evaluation
Add your unit’s results to a pooled evaluation
One unit’s evaluation is useful to that unit. Results from many units, in many countries, carry more weight. We’re working behind the scenes to have an independent expert pool results from units that opt in and publish them, if possible. Timertag will not hold or see the pooled data.
Taking part is optional. Your results stay yours, and you can publish your own evaluation whenever and however you like.
1. Keep your form poolable
- Use the Bedside Guide feedback form. Its questions are the core questions, version B.
- copy the form · evaluation guide (both in 20 languages)
- Keep the core questions and their answer choices exactly as they are. Results can only be pooled when every unit asks the same thing in the same words.
- You can rename your copy and add questions of your own in a new section at the end. Those stay with you and are never pooled.
- The form is available in all 20 Bedside Guide languages, and a file from any of them can be pooled. Translated forms are machine translations; the English form is the reference version.
- Sharing results for a pooled publication may need ethics or research governance approval at your hospital. Details will come with the invitation.
2. Prepare your file
When your evaluation ends, open the Google Sheet linked to your form and choose File, Download, Comma-separated values (.csv). Then check and convert it here.
This page runs entirely in your browser. Your file is not uploaded anywhere, and Timertag never sees it. Free-text answers, your unit name, any questions you added and response times are left out of the pooled file.
3. Send it to the independent lead
Please don’t send your file to Timertag. When the pooled evaluation opens, units that have registered will be invited to email their file directly to the independent evaluation lead:
- from your hospital email address, by a named nurse or manager,
- with your name, role, hospital, unit, site code and evaluation dates,
- with the file’s fingerprint, and any local approval reference.
The lead confirms who sent each file and checks its fingerprint, so every pooled result can be traced to a real unit. Keep your original Google Sheet of responses; the lead may ask to see it.
4. Register your interest
This opens an email to info@timertag.com. Send your contact details only, never evaluation results or patient information.
The pooled format
Every pooled file has the same columns, so files from different units can be combined directly.
